Farmer Market Sales Rep. 

We are looking for energetic people to join our team to sell our products at our London Farmers Markets at Weekends.

 

It is weekends only for our markets, either a single day at the weekend or both Saturday & Sunday are available.

 

We do start early at the weekends and our farm is rural so you own transport to get to/from the farm is essential as well as a full driving licence.

 

Your normal day would be to arrive at the farm and take one of our vehicles to a market (usually London), set up your stall ensuring products are presented in the best possible way. Some produce is heavy, so the manual handling of the crates is required. Once set up assisting customers in sales as well as taking cash and card payments. 

 

Good communication is key ensuring a pleasurable experience for our customers as well as providing valuable feedback to our farmers market team.

 

The role would suit confident people with great communication skills who are reliable and punctual with a go get attitude to all aspects including problem solving.

You must

  • Have a full UK drivers licence (preferably 5 years experience)

  • Be fluent in English

Farm Hand / Market Gardener 

This is a lovely opportunity to join a young and growing company within the Fresh Produce / Horticultural sector. The company grow, nurture and supply fresh fruit, vegetables and plants/flowers for the commercial and retail sector, supplying into Pubs, Restaurants,  Farmers markets, off site farm shop and other commercial enterprises.

We are now looking for a Market Gardener to take the reigns and help drive the business forwards.

Market Gardener Duties & Responsibilities:

​

  • Oversee the daily running of the daily operations as a whole. Ensuring the welfare of all the fresh produce is maintained and kept to a high standard

  • Organise the picking and boxing up of fresh produce

  • Liaise with clients in order to deliver produce on time and without compromising the produce

  • Assist in managing the logistical side of the business - Deliveries etc

  • Attend fairs and markets to retail the produce & plants

​

Market Gardener Skills and Experience:

​

  • 6 Months+ experience in a similar industry within Horticulture or Agricultural setting and advantage

  • Full manual Drivers Licence required

  • Good knowledge of Plant/Flower/Vegetable welfare advantageous 

  • Customer driven and ability to communicate effectively with customers & staff

  • Ambitious and ability to create new ideas and implement them

Market Gardener Salary & Benefits:

  • Basic Salary 40 hour week based on skills and experience 

  • Commission/Bonus Incentive Scheme (Uncapped) OTE of £30k+

  • 20 Days Holiday + Public Holidays (Pro Rata)
